What began in 1981 as a modest Vietnamese shop—Dong Phuong Oriental Market—has flourished into a premier destination for international groceries across Canada.

Our roots trace back to Edmonton’s Chinatown, where we rebranded as Lucky Supermarket in 1994 with the launch of Lucky 97.

Today, Lucky Supermarket proudly operates eight
locations across Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Surrey, British Columbia. As
a family-owned and independently run business, we specialize in bringing the
world’s flavors to your table. From an extensive range of Asian and
international products to fresh produce, premium seafood, and a fully stocked
meat department—including a certified halal butcher section with dedicated
storage—we ensure quality and authenticity at every step. Select locations also
feature our halal section, meeting rigorous compliance standards to serve your
needs.Our most recent store, opened in November 2024, takes the shopping
experience to the next level with a vibrant food court seating up to 150
guests—because we believe grocery shopping is even better with a delicious meal
